Joel Bandstra has been a member of Westminster OPC since 2008 and a member of session since 2022. He and his wife Emily have five daughters. Joel works as a professor of environmental engineering at Saint Francis University and as a consulting aqueous geochemist. Joel was raised in a Christian home and professed faith in Christ in his teenage years, but was challenged to truly live his faith in his early 20s. Since then, he has witnessed God’s blessing of sanctification in his life but continues to have daily need of God’s grace freely offered in Jesus Christ.
